"can't get this plan to stop working" is based on a series of digital images made at night in the La Plagne region of eastern France. Barely visible in the dark spread are a series of night-light vehicles (replenishing the slopes). The isolated resort of La Plagne has, due to its geography, a completely self-sufficient social structure in terms of services, delivery and commerce. And this service works at night; goods are delivered, lanes cleared, new snow dispersed, old snow smoothed, hotels and chalets re-stocked and running repairs carried out. It is as such an invisible plan, behind the scenes, that works efficiently. It is geared exclusively towards the happiness and ignorance of visiting tourists. One community operates in order for another to ‘carry on with life’.
