CONVERSATIONS, at space@design, University of Leeds, in collaboration with Louise K. Wilson. A programme of week-long 'sonic conversations' between six artists from different academic institutions in Leeds. Conversation 1 - Louise K. Wilson + Alan Dunn. We began our conversation on the Isle of Man, but also years before, about No Parlez, about being stretched (mentally, physically, digitally, professionally) and about the Paulstretch algorythm. We carefully extracted the Love will tear us apart version on cassette, looped it, held it against the magnetic head, recorded it, Paulstretched that recording, invited MAP to press up a single duplate with it and put all this back in the gallery space. |
