Illustration above: "migrate" oil on found objects, 2005 Magpie Andrew Bracey spends much of his travelling time on foot. Fascinated by what can be discarded along the roadside  he often arrives at his destination with pockets full of detritus. Like a magpie he finds a significance in and utilises what others have deemed worthless. A short walk around the billboard location on the Seel/Slater Street corner in January harvested a bounty of finds which the artist has returned to the original site via his studio in Manchester.
