This is the No Parlez project called ZERO PLAN, a cover version of Rutherford Chang’s We Buy White Albums project. Current count of the number of No Parlez accumulated is on the main website page. The accompanying zine is also called ZERO PLAN. Issue 22 explores the No Parlez inner sleeve including rare family photographs, diaries and artworks from 1983. The issue is our most textured, with chalk and charcoal fixed by hairspray, an 'endless card' made from real inner sleeves, commercial and designed stickers, pages from a 1983 issue of Sounds, wallpaper insert featuring designer Catherine Lansfield's Kelso Check Tartan Mushroom Warm Grey, collaged cigarette cards, flurescent pens, juice stains, pierced holes, doodles and scribbles, stamps, dad jokes, small lino print, fragments from Diana Clapton's Lou Reed book, speech bubbles from 1983 Whizzer & Chips Annual, crushed staples, paper clips and Glasgow 'Child Underground' tickets from 1983. 24-pages full colour, 25x17cm, beautifully printed as always by our friends at NewspaperClub.
