GOOD DIVERSIONS 20-30 August 2006, developers move onto Seel Street/Slater Street with the building in danger of collapse and in urgent need of structural support. In the words of the billboard company, the developers 'are obscuring and obstructing the billboard panel'. The ADAM'S CLUB sign is also removed. OBSCURER 1 posters will now be relocated 100 yards further along at 48 Seel Street* (site pictured below, far right, with original site visible in background).
* 48 Seel Street (SN 3312/01) was previously used for Fiona Banner's original commissioned work as part of the Liverpool Billboard Project in 1999. Experimental in its use of black punctuation marks printed by Augustus Martin (Bromley by Bow) on silver paper - and viewed at a height - the work was undocumented except for one single photograph. Fiona's new 'love double' subsequently became her primary contribution to the billboard project.
GOOD DIVERSIONS Viewing figures for OBSCURER 1 from TITAN Outdoor: 4 weeks x 33,500 estimated billboard views at 48 Seel Street per week = 134,000
